It's  KARAOKE  KAFE'  time  at  GENNARO'S Bar and Restaurant in the heart of Old Metairie.  Your host, Steve Knight, serves up the Karaoke to order on our nightly menu at Gennaro's, affectionately known as "The Karaoke Shrine, Just Off Airline".

Steve takes your order at the DJ Box, then serves up the music on his state-of-the-art digital 3,500 watt sound system.

YOU provide the main ingredient .... YOUR  VOICE.    We don't care if you are a beginner, wanna-be, really good singer, or just someone out to have a good time.  We want YOU...

Two large video screens tower overhead, displaying the lyrics to the songs you sing.  This allows everyone in the venue to sing along.

So, bring your friends, bring your boss, bring your date, bring perfect strangers and enjoy the Best In Karaoke at GENNARO's.

BACK  IN  THE  DAY . . .

Steve Knight began his professional broadcasting career as an intern at WRNO-FM in New Orleans in 1977.  From there, he produced the Gerry Valence radio program at WSMB, the Bob DelGiorno show at WSMB, and then worked the late shift at WRNO-FM (the legendary "Steve Knight and the Rock & Roll Flight to Midnight" show M-F 7pm to midnight.   From there, Steve moved west to KFXY-FM and KMRC-AM in Morgan City, KQKI-FM in Franklin, K-94 KSMB in Lafayette.  A short television stint at WLOX-TV in Biloxi, MS and several stations in the Gulf South was enough to put Steve into 'early retirement' from the broadcasting business... SOOoo.  He resumed his music "career", playing in several local bands.

Steve's Nightclub ventures included time spinning the hits at Gatsby's, Spanky's, Frank's Wharf, Kenny Vincent's Southside, in Metro New Orleans, The Keg in Lafayette and Mr. G's Galaxy and the Rathskeller Lounge in Morgan City.

Steve has spent much of the past few years being a dad to three great kids, and working what he likes to call "real jobs"...

                                     ... until now.
